The Great War

Valerius's purity push beyond Luna against Crowbrook, the city the exiles of the Fall founded (c. 702 BL) after surviving the Outer Reach by blood magic. The exiles - humans, dwarves and dissenting elves - were divided from those who stayed by belief, not race.

• Fought on the plain north-east of Luna below the Iron Mountains, which became the Great Cemetery.
• Neutral: the Highlanders (war is not hunting; they reject the southern reading of the oath legend) and Luminglade (safe in its forests).
• Ending (680 BL): the rise of the Zeraphs. Souls went through the ground faster than Charon could pass them; vast beasts rose; "Everyone lost". Valerius and Seralyth died
• Charon raised his ferry on the Cemetery so the dead would never again be left unpassed.
