Appearance

Orwen is a freckled seventeen-year-old with the same stubborn chin as her brother. She wears an expensive cloak and a luminarite pendant at her throat.

In The Outcast Knight

Orwen Strom is Oakren's younger sister, a daughter of the noble Strom family. She found Fi and Usso at her brother's grave and told them the family was selling his sword, Velorith, from its vault at the Radiant bank, which would wipe Ren from the house entirely. Watched because of her name, she could not act herself, and asked them to take it first. Usso warned her that her luminarite pendant was poison, and she admitted Ren used to say the same.

After the heist she met Fi beneath a yew in the park where Oakren once pushed her on a rope swing. When Fi said she meant to use the sword against the men who had buried him, Orwen reminded her that Ren wanted justice, not revenge, then laid her hand over Fi's on the hilt and gave her the blade. Later she visited Fi in the infirmary, telling her and Usso that her brother's letters had been full of Fi, that they had proved him right, and that she now stood in his place.
