Sir Eadric of Grimsward: a hard-edged honour-man who treats duty as a vow carved into bone. He is not easily impressed, and even less easily moved.
Appearance
Eadric's armour bears the dents and scratches of hard fighting rather than tournament pageantry. He fights with a broad, iron-dark broadsword forged in the deep fires of Grimsward's mines.
In The Outcast Knight
Sir Eadric, announced as Sir Eadric the Steadfast of Grimsward, is a knight of the mountainous western kingdom bound to Luna by old pacts and shared blood. He had risen through the tournament's pits, where Luna throws its downtrodden at one another, to face Prince Alerion in the high bracket, seeing it as a rare chance to test himself against such a warrior. He offered Alerion a respectful nod; Alerion answered with a smirk.
Alerion toyed with him, opening shallow cuts, dazzling him with sunlight off his blade, and taunting him for failing his frozen homeland, while Eadric refused to fall. Finally Alerion drove his sword into Eadric's gut rather than give him a clean death, telling him he would linger and suffer. Watching from the stands, Fi saw Oakren's death in every blow. The book does not describe Eadric's fate directly, though Fi later reflects that he should have walked off the field alive, and Astarion counts him among the names she carries.

After the books
In a city where titles shift overnight, Eadric remains what he always was, steel with a conscience, forced to decide which laws deserve loyalty, and which deserve defiance.
