Brother Adresin arrives in Sanctum white with luminarite at his throat and civility sharp enough to cut. He watches the Mask-years like a starving man watches stew--measuring fire, water, air, and the silence in Vael. He sells the tithe as honour and calls selection refinement. Beneath the politeness is the simple truth: the Creed wants weapons that can walk where wardstones cannot.

Appearance

Adresin wears a Sanctum-white long coat too fine for Luminglade, its cuffs and collar edged with small luminarite gems, and a sliver of polished crystal at his throat.

In The Channeler

Brother Adresin is the First Sanctum Envoy and public voice of the Arch Luminar, sent to Luminglade in the year before the Festival. He watched the Mask-year trials from the Council balcony and came before the Council of Masks bearing the Arch Luminar's blessing and concern, speaking of hollowborn growing bolder and offering the Sanctum's structure for gifts the Houses could not bear. Polished and diplomatic, he obtained four lawful names for the tithe, and at the naming bowed as though receiving courage rather than children.

The book draws a sharp line between him and Brother Kael: Adresin made the taking respectable, while Kael made the bodies useful. His countersign stood on the orders Kael used against Leth, his envoy seal ended Nyssa's escort authority, and Leth later confessed that Adresin had called the diverted genuine Hush an emergency reserve. Kael's final laboratory bore Adresin's seal on its door.
