Cards become units

Your deck is only the beginning. The real decisions happen on the board.

A 31-chapter campaign

Fight through the saga chapter by chapter while individual cards earn XP, rank up and become future leaders.

Built from the books

Characters, factions and conflicts are drawn from the wider Lightspire saga.

The battle beneath the cards

Draw. Deploy. Outmanoeuvre.

Lightspire begins like a card game and unfolds like a skirmish. Every layer asks a different question, from the deck you bring to the square you are willing to hold.

01

Build with intent

Choose a leader and a deck whose units, quests and synergies can survive once the cards leave your hand.

02

Commit to the grid

Cards become positioned units. Facing, lanes, terrain and support turn every placement into a promise.

03

Control information

Play face down, force reveals and decide when hidden strength is worth exposing to the enemy.

04

Grow the roster

Units earn persistent XP, rise through ranks and can eventually qualify to lead decks of their own.

Gameplay overviewIn-engine
New in developmentVictory reveal

A win does not end at the victory screen.

A new victory reveal draws over the board and waits for you to take it in before the rewards land: card XP, essence and new cards. Those rewards feed back into deck construction, so your roster carries its history from one battle to the next.

From unit to leader

The cards remember the battle.

A unit can begin as one choice in your opening hand and grow into the identity of an entirely new deck.

1

Fight

Position units, complete quests and win combat.

2

Earn

On-board cards gain XP through every match.

3

Rank up

A familiar unit becomes part of your long game.

4

Lead

Eligible rank-two units can command a deck.

Eligible units can become leaders from rank two. Leader abilities continue to unlock at ranks five, eight and ten, making roster growth a strategic choice rather than a cosmetic number.

Ways to play

From the books to the ladder.

The campaign carries the story of the novels onto the board. When you want a straight fight, Skirmish and multiplayer are waiting.
