Iskander of House Phoenix: fae with a quiet intensity. Where others flit, he watches: like a storm deciding whether to break.
Appearance
Iskander is a young Fire Fae with violet skin, hair made of living flame and ember-bright eyes. Like Kara, he bears a swirling, glowing brand on his chest.
In The Outcast Knight
Iskander was found chained on a platform beneath the Radiant bank alongside Kara. Metal leeches fed on him, and wherever they bit, fire burst from his brand and ran down his body in molten rivers, its power drawn off to light the city. Even so, he met his discoverers with a broken humour, laughing in sparks, warning them the King would kill them for seeing it, and urging Ferrin to hurry because he was tired of being a lantern.
Freed on the way out, he tore loose from his platform. At the security room he unleashed a torrent of flame that walled off the pursuing guards and set the bank ablaze, though Fi feared the power was consuming him. At Ferrin's workshop he took the cuffs charged by Levitas, laid a burning hand on Ferrin's shoulder and asked him to tell the world they had burned bright, then followed Kara over the walls, laughing in disbelief.

After the books
After the Scorched Sky, he carries the sense that the world has been wounded. His loyalty becomes sharper, and so does his anger.
