Nimra introduces herself only after Cassian gives his own name, insisting on reciprocal recognition.
Appearance
Nimra is a Water Fae with blue skin, darkened by soot when Crowbrook met her, and one arm wrapped in bark that had fused into burned skin.
In The Godless Priest
Nimra is a Fae refugee met at the edge of Luminglade as Crowbrook's army skirted the forest. She first appeared holding a blade of water against a Penitent's throat because he had crossed an unseen root line, and she could hear the army's demons arguing through the pressure of their hosts' blood. She gave her name only after Cassian gave his and Morrow's, and found Crowbrook's blood law uncomfortably like the Sanctum's.
Ravel treated her arm while Nimra guided remembered water beneath the bark, neither able to finish alone. She called Morrow's hoard of voices desecration, distinguished water that remembers from a demon that imitates, and refused Mother Vey military passage through the forest, telling the Crown that crossing is not owning. The exchange gave Crowbrook only a marked road outside the root line and Fae healers medicine without political oath. Before the army left she warned Ravel that near the wounded Light neither demons nor currents would stay private.
